Ryan Goss is an Associate Professor at the ANU Law School, where he serves as Head of School leading the national law school team. His research focuses on constitutional fundamentals and human rights law, particularly Australian constitutional law and criminal fair trial rights under the ECHR. His work has been cited by the European Court of Human Rights and published in leading journals including Public Law and Modern Law Review.
Education: BA(Hons I), LLB(Hons I) (University of Queensland); BCL(Dist), DPhil (University of Oxford).
Research interests center on democracy-defining legal questions at the intersection of law, politics and government. Current projects examine Australian constitutional principles and ECHR fair trial jurisprudence.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on public law themes, with recent works analyzing parliamentary sovereignty and Article 6 ECHR rights erosion.
