Ruth Rubio Marin is a Part-time Professor at the Florence School of Transnational Governance (European University Institute) and a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Sevilla. She holds the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Interculturalism at Universidad Internacional de Andalucía. Previously, she served as a Chair in Comparative Public Law at the EUI.

Her research focuses on how public law constructs inclusion/exclusion dynamics across gender, citizenship, nationality, and ethnicity, particularly in conflict and post-conflict contexts. Key areas include law and gender, transitional justice, and democratic constitutionalism.
Recent publications analyze AI legislation, Spanish constitutional gender order, and Latin American gender constitutionalism. She actively consults for institutions like the UN, EU, and the International Center for Transitional Justice.
