Ruth Deibler

Ruth Deibler is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Interior Design at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts (VCUarts). She holds a BS in Interior Design from Radford University (2004) and an MFA in Interior Design from VCU (2021). Her academic philosophy emphasizes exposure to possibilities, tools, and connections in design education.

Professor Deibler's research advocates for equitable design practices, accessible outdoor spaces for mental health and public safety, healthy aging solutions, and walkable multi-generational communities. She believes design can drive social change and improve community quality of life.

She maintains professional practice through Space + Strategy Studio (focusing on healthcare, healthy aging, and commercial real estate) and contributes to DeiblerCPA. She holds multiple certifications including CIDQ, Virginia Certified Interior Designer, and Certified Healthcare Constructor from the American Hospital Association.
