Russell Bennett

Russell Bennett is a Teaching Professor of Fashion at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, since Fall 2022. He holds a B.A. in Textile/Fashion from Kingston University London. His academic roles include consulting tutor at Westminster University (2016–22) and guest lecturer at Pratt Institute (1996).

Professionally, he served as Chief Design Consultant at Alberto Aspesi (Milan, 1996–2022), overseeing all garment and accessory design processes. He was Head of Design at In the Now (New York, 1999–2005), leading contemporary sportswear collections. Earlier roles include design consultancy at Moschino Couture (1994–96), ownership of his signature label Russell Bennett (1992–99), and design assistant positions at Moschino and Basile (Milan).

His expertise spans couture, fabric sourcing, pattern supervision, and retail merchandising, with experience in high-end fashion brands like Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman.
