Russell Bartee

Russell Bartee, Ph.D., is a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Counseling Program at Texas Wesleyan University, with over 25 years of clinical practice experience in the Fort Worth area. He has held teaching positions at Tarleton State University, Texas Woman’s University, Capella University, and Northcentral University, all within graduate counseling programs.

Education:

• B.S. in Pre-Medical Science from Oklahoma Christian University
• M.Ed. in School Counseling/Professional Counseling from the University of North Texas
• Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University

Russell’s research and professional work focus on counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, and stress management. His presentations emphasize workplace communication, health and wellness, and relationship therapy, particularly addressing addiction counseling and team dynamics.

As a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist, he also serves as a Board Member of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT), having chaired the Ethics and Elections Committees. Additionally, he is a state board-approved supervisor for both LPC and LMFT licenses.
