Rui Pena Pires

Rui Pena Pires is a Full Professor in the Department of Sociology at ISCTE-IUL (University Institute of Lisbon), where he also serves as an Integrated Researcher at CIES-Iscte, focusing on the research line of Migrations, Mobility and Ethnicity. He has held significant leadership roles, including Scientific Coordinator of the Emigration Observatory since 2009, former Director of the Department of Sociology, and former Pro-Rector of ISCTE-IUL.
