Rudy Lopez

Rudy H. Lopez is an Assistant Professor and Fashion Merchandising Internship Coordinator at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts, Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising. His research focuses on the intersection of contemporary cultural trends (zeitgeist), streetwear, subcultures, military uniforms, and technological advancements in relation to societal impacts on fashion.

Rudy actively engages in creative collaborations, including designing with artist Michelle Lopez for their esses line and developing a childrenswear brand High Prospect. He contributes to Virginia's creative and retail sectors through partnerships with organizations like Need Supply Co., Quirk Gallery, and the Valentine Richmond History Center.
