Dr. Rudolph Bonaparte is Professor of the Practice (part-time) in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech, affiliated with the College of Engineering. He simultaneously serves as Chairman and Senior Principal at Geosyntec Consultants, where he previously spent 20 years as President and CEO.
His research focuses on geotechnical systems, hazardous waste containment, earth retaining structures, and leadership development in engineering education. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and reports for EPA, NASA, and FHWA. Dr. Bonaparte teaches courses in Global Engineering Leadership and contributes to geosystems engineering curriculum development.
As registered professional engineer in 17 states, he provides expert consultation on landfill design, contaminated site remediation, and infrastructure projects.
