Rozilini Mary Fernandez-Chung

Rozilini Mary Fernandez-Chung is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Nottingham Malaysia. Her work focuses on quality assurance in higher education, transnational education (TNE), and graduate employability. She has held leadership roles in organizations such as HELP University, the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, and the National Accreditation Board.

• Current role: Educational Leadership and Management, specializing in Practice-Based Inquiry and Effective Leadership & Change Management (2016–present).
• Prior role: Legal Education (1994–2004), teaching Company Law, Business Law, and Malaysian/English Legal Systems.

Her research spans quality assurance, transnational education, and graduate employability. Key projects include assessing institutional readiness for quality assurance in Bangladesh, analyzing TNE’s impact in Myanmar, and evaluating graduate employability in Malaysia. She has secured grants from the British Council, World Bank, and Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia.

Her publications explore themes such as Malaysia’s higher education policy, employer perceptions of employability, and transnational education frameworks. Notable works include studies on public/private university roles, TNE tensions, and equity in education.
