Xun Yu Chai is an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, University of Nottingham Malaysia, specializing in English language education and curriculum design. She earned her PhD and MA in TESOL from the University of Nottingham Malaysia and holds a B.Ed in TESL from the University of Selangor.
- Research Focus: Teacher professional development, educational technology (e.g., FrogAsia pilot projects), literacy/numeracy assessment (e.g., Malaysian LINUS Programme), and transitions from school to higher education or vocational pathways.
- Teaching: Courses in language teaching methodology, curriculum design, learning strategies, and educational foundations at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Research Projects: She has managed and coordinated large-scale initiatives, including the World Bank-funded Bangladesh College Education Development Programme, Malaysian LINUS Programme teacher evaluations, and vocational education progression studies.
