معرفی
Rouba Ibrahim is a Professor and Head of the Operations & Technology group at the School of Management, University College London (UCL). She holds a PhD in Operations Research from Columbia University (2010), an MSc in Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University (2004), and a BSc in Mathematics from the American University of Beirut (2002). Her research focuses on stochastic modeling of service systems, particularly healthcare and call centers, using queueing theory and data analytics.
Research Interests: Stochastic Modelling, Service Systems Optimization, Queueing Theory, Behavioral Operations, and Healthcare Operations. She explores operational challenges through analytical models and empirical studies, addressing issues like delay announcements, workforce blending, and patient behavior in queues.
- Editorial Roles: Associate Editor for Management Science and Queueing Systems, Area Editor for Operations Research (Operations and Supply Chains).
- Awards: Finalist in INFORMS JFIG Paper Competition (2015), Second Place in Behavioral OM Best Working Paper (2021), IBM Best Student Paper Finalist (2021).
Advising and Grants: Supervises PhD students Arturo Estrada Rodriguez and Tomás Momesso. Research projects include Delay Announcements, Data Analytics in Service Systems, and Sharing Economy Operations. Collaborates on healthcare optimization through observational studies and decision models.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Operations & Technology group at UCL, contributing to interdisciplinary research in service systems, behavioral operations, and healthcare analytics.
