Professor Rossitsa Artemis is a scholar in English and American literature and continental philosophy at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. She coordinates the Centre of Languages and the Languages and Literature program, contributing to interdisciplinary research at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Education: MA in English Language and Literature (University of Veliko Turnovo, 1993), MPhil in Gender Studies (Central European University, 1998), MPhil (George Washington University, 2000), PhD in Human Sciences (George Washington University, 2005).
Her research explores intersections of modernist literature, psychoanalytic theory, and ethics, with publications on Jean Rhys, Julia Kristeva, and Ford Madox Ford. Recent projects like CAPONEU examine the political novel in Europe through cartographic and interdisciplinary lenses.
Artemis’ scholarly work incorporates themes of moral luck, determinism, and temporality, reflected in her editorial roles and collaborations. She has held academic positions at the University of Veliko Turnovo and The G.C. School of Careers, and her research output spans monographs, chapters, and journal special issues.
