Laura Colombino is a Professor of English Literature and Culture at the University of Genova, where she has held academic roles since 2005, including Lecturer (2005–2015), Associate Professor (2015–2020), and Full Professor (since 2020). Her research spans modernist and contemporary British literature, visual culture, ethics and literature, and the interplay of space in literature and architecture. She has received international recognition, including membership in the Academia Europaea and Accademia Ligure delle Scienze e delle Lettere, and a prestigious AIA Book Prize for her monograph Spatial Politics in Contemporary London Literature: Writing Architecture and the Body (2015).
- Education: Ph.D. in English Studies (University of Genova, 2001), M.A. and B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures (University of Genova, 1997), Erasmus undergraduate exchange at the University of Reading (1993–1994).
Her funded projects include research on urban conflict, modernism in the Mediterranean, and Ford Madox Ford’s interdisciplinary practices. She has supervised Ph.D. candidates such as Lara Paoletti and Guglielmo Poli and currently chairs one Ph.D. viva. Colombino has delivered keynotes at institutions like Oxford Brookes University and the Martin-Gropius-Bau Museum in Berlin, focusing on themes like digital justice, affective spaces, and literary geographies.

S. Byatt and Colm Tóibín. Her editorial involvement with Oxford University Press and Cambridge Scholars Publishing underscores her leadership in academic publishing.
