Rossella Salandra is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Management Strategy & Organisation at the University of Bath. She is affiliated with the Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Bath, the Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Improvement, and the Innovation Bridge Centre for 21st Century Public Health. Her research focuses on improving research quality, academic-industry collaboration, and making science more accessible through initiatives like translating scientific papers. She holds a PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Imperial College Business School and an MSc in Industrial Management Engineering from the University of Padova.

Her research interests include enhancing evidence quality in clinical research, fostering academic-industry partnerships, and promoting science accessibility. She collaborates with organizations like Cochrane and Innovate UK. She serves on the editorial boards of Research Policy and Industry and Innovation.
Recent work explores how systematic reviews guide researchers away from biased studies, the impact of journal rankings on academic publishing choices, and the role of R&D disclosures in competitive markets.
She teaches postgraduate courses in Innovation & Technology Management, Entrepreneurship & Management, and Engineering Business Management. She co-designed the Introduction to Innovation in Healthcare MOOC and leads the Innovation and Technology Management MSc program.
Her grants and projects include the Innovation Bridge Beacon (focusing on entrepreneurship), a study on Cochrane’s translation program, and a healthcare innovation MOOC funded by the West of England AHSN.
