Professor Ross Bellaby is a Professor of International Relations and Deputy Faculty Director of Education at the University of Sheffield's School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations. His research focuses on the ethics of intelligence, surveillance, and cybersecurity, with a particular emphasis on balancing state security needs with moral and democratic values. He holds a PhD from Aberystwyth University (2011) and has authored influential works such as The Ethics of Intelligence: A New Framework (2014) and The Ethics of Hacking (2023).
