Ross Aldridge is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Languages, University of Gdańsk, where he teaches practical English courses, academic writing, and British History/Cultural Studies. His dual affiliation includes the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translation and the Institute of English and American Studies.
- First Class BA in History and Philosophy (Keele University)
- MA and PhD in Modern History (University of Reading)
- Cambridge CELTA and PGCE in Education (University of East Anglia)
His research bridges cultural history and intellectual history, focusing on:
- British intellectuals’ responses to the First World War
- British public/government reactions to Polish immigration (1945–1960)
Dr. Aldridge’s publications include contributions to edited volumes like Re-Imagining the First World War, exploring intersections of historical analysis and cultural studies.
Ross Aldridge maintains active teaching and research roles, with office hours available on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the Winter Semester (2024-25).
