She has held roles at Oxford, NUIM, Nottingham, King’s College London, and the University of Kent, with extensive teaching experience in Greek literature, ancient history, and reception studies. She has supervised and examined doctorates, served as external examiner for Bristol (2019–2021), and is currently an external assessor for the Open University.
Her research focuses on cultural history of the ancient world, particularly drama and its reception. Key publications include Costume in Greek Tragedy (2011) and Theatre Props and Civic Identity in Athens, 458–405 BC (2020). Current projects explore Aristotle’s language of emotion and cognition. She has co-edited volumes on ancient pantomime, the Pronomos vase, and female classical scholars.
Rosie actively promotes Classics through media contributions (TV/radio) and school outreach programs. Her work bridges academic research with public engagement.
