Dr. Rosie Fox is a Lecturer in Legal Education at the School of Law, University of Leeds. She joined the institution in 2014 as a PhD candidate, transitioning to a full-time role in 2018. Her research focuses on innovative legal pedagogy, including visual approaches to teaching law, gamification of learning, and inclusive assessment methods. She leads the module 'Introduction to Criminal Law' on the BA Criminal Justice and Criminology course and teaches Criminal Law, Law and Society, Land Law, and Dissertation on the LLB program.
Her research interests include the intersection of law and drag (via the 'Law’s A Drag' network), law and dress, doctoral student wellbeing, and legal aesthetics. She holds a PhD from Leeds (2020), an LLM in International and Comparative Law (Distinction), and an LLB (Hons) with Criminology from the University of Derby. She is affiliated with the Centre for Innovation and Research in Legal Education and the Centre for Law and Social Justice.
Dr. Fox is a member of the Association of Law Teachers, Graphic Justice Research Alliance, Socio-Legal Studies Association, and Law and Society Association. Her visual case study assessment project, launched in 2020, encourages students to create case reports using preferred visual mediums, with ongoing refinements based on student feedback.
