Education:
- Ph.D. Earth and Planetary Sciences, Northwestern University (2014)
- M.S. Plant Biology and Conservation, Northwestern University (2008)
- B.A. Environmental Biology, University of Colorado (2006)
Research focuses on reconstructing plant-environment interactions through Earth's history using stable isotope ratios (C, O, H) in plant tissues, leaf morphology, and climate proxies. She investigates how these biomarkers reflect paleoclimates and ecosystem dynamics, with applications to ancient environments from the Cretaceous to the Miocene.
Her teaching includes EARTH 390: Paleobiology and ENVR SCI 201: Earth: A Habitable Planet. She collaborates on initiatives like the Northwestern University Geoequity Initiative (2020), promoting equity in geosciences.
Advising and grants: She serves as a faculty adviser but no specific grants are listed. Research spans tundra ecosystems (Greenland), Ethiopian Miocene forests, and Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum studies.
