Rosaria Ruffini

Rosaria Ruffini is a Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She is currently a visiting researcher at Ibn Zohr University in Agadir (Morocco) under a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship.

• Education: PhD in Theatre Studies (Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Paris; double doctorate with Alma Mater Studiorum, Bologna), MA in Literature (Ca' Foscari University of Venice)

Research interests include:

• Contemporary theatre and performance in Europe and Africa
• Interdisciplinary methodologies in Performance Studies and Social Sciences
• Performative practices in migrant reception centers
• Relationship between European and African theatrical traditions
• Field studies in Burkina Faso

Publications highlight her work on Luca Ronconi's theatrical innovations, performance in migrant camps, and Peter Brook's dramaturgy.
