Rosa Fannie

Rosa Fannie is an Assistant Professor and serves as the Director of Clinical Education and Associate Program Director for the Physician Assistant Studies (MS) program at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She is a dedicated faculty member in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, contributing significantly to clinical education and program leadership.

Research Interests: Her scholarly focus lies in women’s health, with particular attention to mental health issues during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She integrates clinical expertise with academic instruction to enhance patient care and PA training.

Education and Career Path: Dr. Fannie began her association with the program as a clinical preceptor in 2011 and was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor in 2015, teaching women’s health topics. She joined the full-time faculty in 2018, bringing extensive clinical and educational experience to her roles. She is also inducted into Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants.

Advising and Clinical Leadership: As Director of Clinical Education, she oversees clinical training and supports both students and instructional faculty serving as preceptors. Her background as a preceptor provides valuable insight into the clinical education process and student development.
