Roos Nieuwboer is a researcher at the Faculty of Law, Private Law Department of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on legal support and protection for older persons with impaired decision-making capacity in the Netherlands. Her empirical work includes analyzing court files related to guardianship and mediation in domestic violence cases. She has presented at conferences on topics like financial abuse of older adults and problem constellations in guardianship.
Publications & Awards: Her recent articles address guardianship law, dementia care, and symposium proceedings. She received a cum laude distinction for her Master's thesis at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
