Roopa Vemulapalli

Roopa Vemulapalli is an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. She specializes in small bowel disorders including celiac disease and hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes, with advanced expertise in double balloon enteroscopy.

As Director of Gastrointestinal Services, she leads clinical operations and serves on the Ambulatory Operations Council. Her research examines small bowel imaging, autoimmune gastritis, and colon cancer prevention strategies.
