Michele J. Alkalay

Dr. Michele J. Alkalay is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she directs the Pediatric Celiac Disease Program at Children’s Health Plano. She specializes in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, with clinical interests in celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and gastrointestinal disorders. After completing her medical training at the Sackler School of Medicine and UT Southwestern, she practiced in New York before returning to Dallas in 2012 to establish North Texas' first pediatric celiac disease program.
