Dr. Jeremy Matloff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Digestive Diseases) at Yale School of Medicine. He completed his MD at Tufts University School of Medicine, Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital (serving as Chief Resident), and Gastroenterology fellowship at Mount Sinai. Prior to Yale, he was a partner at Connecticut Gastroenterology Consultants and served on the Medical Advisory Board of Shoreline Endoscopy Center. Currently, he serves as Medical Director of Shoreline Endoscopy Center and is actively involved in medical student teaching.
Research Interests: Focuses on hereditary colon cancer syndromes, early colon polyp detection via endoscopic innovations, and personalized colonoscopy scheduling based on patient risk. His clinical expertise includes GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and capsule endoscopy.
Clinical Philosophy: Emphasizes holistic patient care, integrating diet, lifestyle, and stress management with medical interventions. Advocates for shared decision-making in colon cancer screening, particularly for younger at-risk populations.
