Rong Zeng is an Associate Professor and Asper Behavioural Management Fellow at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. She holds a PhD in Strategy and Global Management from the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on cross-border acquisitions, integration challenges in multinational enterprises, corporate social responsibility (CSR) dynamics, and meta-analytic methodologies. Her work has been published in top journals like the Journal of International Business Studies and funded by SSHRC grants.
Dr. Zeng teaches courses in International Management, Strategy, and Meta-Analysis at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She has supervised multiple research projects, including undergraduate awards and master’s thesis committees. Her professional service roles include chairing the Asper Research and Publications Committee and serving on university ethics boards.
Key research themes include the strategic implications of CSR/irresponsibility, media influence on cross-border M&A outcomes, and the role of integration mechanisms in MNE networks. Awards include the SSHRC Doctoral Scholarship and Asper Fellowship. Current grants focus on sustainability in corporate governance and unethical practices by multinationals.
