Ronald Miller is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at Penn State University College of Medicine. He serves as Course Director for the renal medicine course, Director of the Nephrology Fellowship at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and a Master Educator for the Internal Medicine Residency.

Scientific awards include the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2019, 2018), Distinguished Educator Award (2019), and Distinguished Physician Award for Excellence in Housestaff Teaching (2012). He has authored key publications on topics such as mineral bone disorder in dialysis patients and mechanisms of nephrotoxicity.
Clinically, he specializes in acid-base disorders, acute kidney injury, and renal replacement therapy in intensive care settings, with outpatient general nephrology and inpatient consultation duties. He also serves as Medical Director of the DaVita dialysis unit in Palmyra, PA.
