Dr. Rona Hart is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Sussex. Her academic career spans Positive Psychology research, teaching, and professionalization initiatives. She holds a PhD from King’s College London (2004) and advanced degrees in Education, Applied Positive Psychology, and Counseling. Her research focuses on Positive Economic Psychology, Prosocial Behavior, Mindfulness, and Work Psychology. She has pioneered interdisciplinary fields like Positive Economic Psychology and contributed to professional standards through roles in the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), including Director of Professionalisation and Editorships in journals like Behavioral Sciences and International Journal of Wellbeing. She teaches courses such as the Psychology of Kindness and Wellbeing at Work, emphasizing interventions for organizational well-being. Her work bridges academic research with practical applications in workplaces, education, and communities.
