Rolando Rumbaut

Rolando Rumbaut is a Professor and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He also serves as Deputy Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Director of the Center for Translational Research on Inflammatory Diseases (CTRID) at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. His work focuses on mechanisms of microvascular dysfunction in inflammation, particularly the role of platelets in sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and reperfusion injury.
