Roger Strange

Prof Roger Strange is a Professor of International Business (Strategy and Marketing) at the University of Sussex Business School. He previously held the same position at King’s College London (1990–2009) and currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Pavia, Italy. His research focuses on corporate governance, global value chains (GVCs), multinational enterprise strategies, and the impact of digital transformation on international business. He has authored/co-authored 14 books and over 100 journal articles and chapters, including the widely used textbook Research Methods in Business Studies (Cambridge University Press, 2020).

**Education & Roles:** Ph.D. (implied through career progression), Head of Department at King’s College (1990–1995), former President of the European International Business Academy (EIBA), and UK National Representative on EIBA Board (2009–2017). **Awards & Recognition:** 2024 John H. Dunning Award for Lifetime Achievement, Fellowships from AIB and EIBA. His work is widely cited, with notable contributions to understanding post-pandemic global value chain resilience and MNE divestment strategies.

**Teaching:** Convenes the core International Business module (735N1) on the M.Sc. International Management program, covering topics like global trade policies, MNE strategies, and Industry 4.0’s impact.
