Rocio Sedano

Dr. Rocio Sedano serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. She practices clinically at St. Joseph's Health Care London where she maintains her primary appointment and clinical responsibilities.

Dr. Sedano specializes in Inflammatory Bowel Disease with particular expertise in upper Crohn's Disease, Neurogastroenterology, and Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Her research interests encompass ulcerative colitis, motility disorders, and clinical trials methodology. She has specific focus areas in chronic disease and multimorbidity, clinical epidemiology, epidemiological observational studies, randomized controlled trials, and marginalized populations & social determinants of health.

Currently an MSc candidate in clinical trials from the University of London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK, Dr. Sedano completed her Gastroenterology Fellowship at Universidad de Chile followed by dual Clinical and Research Fellowships in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Neurogastroenterology and Motility at Western University.
