Robin Kolodny is a Professor of Political Science at Temple University's College of Liberal Arts, where she has taught since 1991. Her expertise spans campaign finance, political parties, electoral systems, and comparative politics. A renowned scholar, Kolodny has authored two books and over 50 peer-reviewed publications.

Kolodny's research focuses on congressional campaign committees, political consultants, and the intersection of money and politics. Her recent work examines financial deregulation's impact on American democracy. She has published extensively in journals like American Journal of Political Science and Party Politics, with notable 2024 monograph The Fundamentals of Campaign Finance available via Fulcrum.
As an APSA Congressional Fellow (1995), she worked in Congresswoman Nancy Johnson's office. She received the Emerging Scholar Award (1999) and served as Pi Sigma Alpha President (2010-2012). Temple University recognized her teaching excellence with multiple awards, including the Lindback Award (2011) and Great Teacher Award (2017).
