Dr. Robin Kingston is an Honorary University Fellow at RMIT University's School of Art, specializing in visual arts, pedagogy, and material practices. His academic role involves research supervision and teaching in abstraction, contemporary painting, and installation art. He holds a PhD from RMIT (1998) and has extensive experience in New York, including studies at the New York Studio School. His work explores materiality, spatial engagement, and the intersection of art with education and cultural practices.
Research Interests: Visual Arts and Crafts, Curriculum and Pedagogy, Materiality, and Phenomenology. Teaching focuses on abstraction, drawing, and installation practices. He has supervised projects such as Performing the Material Poetics of Migration (2017-2020) and Materialising Deep Time (2015-2020).
