Dr. Robin Enns is a Professor in the Faculty of Education at Brandon University, where he has served since 1988. He holds tenured positions and has held roles such as Dean (1988–1993) and Acting Dean (2000–2001). Previously, he worked at institutions including the Université de Moncton and the University of Regina. His expertise spans curriculum development, multicultural education, and Aboriginal education, with a focus on northern and rural contexts.
Education: PhD (Educational Theory – Curriculum, University of Toronto, 1983); BEd (University of Toronto, 1973); MA (English Literature, University of New Brunswick, 1971); BA (English and History, United College, University of Manitoba, 1967).
Research interests include community-based governance, educational policy, and distance education. He has authored/co-authored over 100 scholarly works, including chapters, articles, and reports. Notable contributions include developing the Hutterite BEd program and the northern Manitoba MEd initiative, both using distance education methods.
- Key achievements: Shaped Brandon University’s BEd and MEd programs, secured over $2M in research funding, and resolved disputes in academic leadership.
