Candy Jones is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum & Pedagogy at Brandon University's Faculty of Education. Her research focuses on teacher professional development in rural contexts, mathematics education, and educator identity formation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba (2018) and has over 20 years of teaching experience in rural Manitoba schools before transitioning to academia. Dr. Jones leads the new 5-year BA/BEd Integrated Program and teaches courses on instructional methods, teacher identity, and mathematics pedagogy.

Grants & Leadership: Principal Investigator on a $117k project addressing rural homelessness, co-leads multiple research initiatives totaling over $160k in funding. Serves on Brandon University Senate and Canadian Association for Teacher Education (CATE).
Labs/Teams: Active in Manitoba Rural Learning Consortium (mRLC), Manitoba Numeracy Leaders’ Network, and Brandon University's Status of Women Committee.
