Robin Abrams is a Professor of Architecture at North Carolina State University's College of Design. She holds a Ph.D. in Landscape Studies from the University of Sheffield, a Master of Architecture and M.S. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in Urban Studies from Northwestern University.
Research Focus: Dr. Abrams specializes in inner city revitalization, housing, and city design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the integration of natural systems into architectural and urban landscapes. Her work explores how intelligent design can enhance livability, reduce environmental waste, and promote social equity in global cities.
Professional Experience: She leads a design practice based in Austin, TX, and London, UK, addressing contemporary restoration of neighborhoods, buildings, and landscapes. As Executive Director of the City Design Foundation, she supports student research on resilient urban design.
