Roberto Melis is a PhD Candidate in a Cotutelle Program between the University of Bergamo (Italy) and the University of Agder (Norway), active since November 2023. He also serves as a Lecturer and Teaching Assistant at the University of Bergamo (since September 2024) and previously taught at IES Abroad, Milan (February–April 2024).

His research spans Banking, Corporate Finance, Insurance Companies Management, with a focus on Development Banking, Public Banking, Microfinance, Financial Inclusion, and Applied Econometrics.
