Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson serves as a Research Fellow and Policy Co-ordinator with the Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep) at the University of Edinburgh's School of Law. His work focuses on translating peacebuilding research into actionable policy advice for global conflict resolution practitioners.

Wilson holds an MA Hons. in Politics and History and an MSc. in International Relations from the University of Glasgow, establishing foundational expertise in political dynamics and international conflict systems.

His research centers on local peace processes with specific emphasis on inter-group dynamics and marginalized community agency in conflict zones, particularly Yemen. This work bridges political science, international relations, and grassroots peacebuilding methodologies to address power imbalances in formal negotiation structures.

Analysis of Wilson's recent publications reveals consistent focus on practical applications of peace agreement databases and community resilience frameworks during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. His collaborative research prioritizes field-based evidence from South Sudan, Yemen, and urban informal settlements to inform responsive policy mechanisms.

As a core member of the PeaceRep initiative, Wilson actively develops the PA-X Peace Agreements Database and associated digital tools that provide critical infrastructure for evidence-based peace process analysis worldwide.
