Dr Jan Pospisil is an Associate Professor (Research) at Coventry University's Research Centre for Peace and Security and holds an additional position as Associate Professor (venia docendi for Political Science) at the University of Vienna. He specializes in peace processes, democratic transitions, and regional governance, particularly in the Horn of Africa and South Sudan. His work addresses peace mediation, donor politics in peacebuilding, and resilience frameworks in conflict zones.

Projects & Grants: Co-investigator in the UK FCDO-funded Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep) and principal investigator on projects like Decolonising Resilience: African Voices in Conversation. He leads research on South Sudan's public perceptions of peace through surveys with Detcro Research and Advisory.
