Laura Wise

Laura Wise serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh's School of Law, affiliated with the Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep). Her work focuses on peace processes, women's inclusion in conflict resolution, and ceasefire dynamics, with research directly informing UN and governmental policymaking.

Her research expertise spans peace agreements implementation, local peace processes in fragmented conflicts, and pandemic-related ceasefires. As a Thematic Lead for PeaceRep's Myanmar work and co-creator of the PeaceFem mobile application, she bridges academic research and practical peacebuilding through digital tools. Her work on the PA-X Peace Agreements Database provides critical global conflict resolution data.

Key scientific recognition includes the RSE Mary Somerville Medal (2023) for collaborative research excellence.
