Robert Stendel

Robert Stendel is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL) since 2023, focusing on Public International Law, Sanctions, and State Immunity. He is affiliated with the University of Melbourne as a Visiting Researcher (2025) and part of their Laureate Research Program in Global Corporations. His academic career includes research assistantships at MPIL and the Institute of German, European and International Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
