Prof. Dr. Ali Rıza Çınar is a faculty member at MEF University's Faculty of Law, where he joined in 2014 after voluntarily retiring from the Supreme Court of Appeals. He has served as Head of the Public Law Department (2014-2018), member of the MEF University Senate (2014-2022, 2023-present), and member of the Board of Directors (2018-2022). His expertise spans criminal law, juvenile criminal law, and comparative criminal procedure.

Research interests: His work focuses on sanctions in criminal law, criminal private law, and protection measures, with comparative studies between Turkish and German legal systems. He has contributed to legislative reforms for the Turkish Penal Code (5237) and Code of Criminal Procedure (5271).

His publications include books on critical legal topics like Violation of Dwelling Immunity and Appeal in Turkish and German Criminal Procedure Law, reflecting his engagement with both theoretical and practical aspects of law.
