Dr. Robert Saunders is a Senior Lecturer in Modern British History at Queen Mary University of London. His work focuses on the history of democracy, political and intellectual history of Thatcherism, Britain's relationship with the European Union, and religion's role in British political culture. He has authored four major books, including Yes to Europe! The 1975 Referendum and Seventies Britain, which won the American Historical Association's Morris D. Forkosch Prize in 2019.
