Robert N. Rapp

Robert N. Rapp is a Visiting Assistant Professor and Louis C. Greenwood Lecturer in Residence at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He teaches courses including Business Associations, Securities Regulation, and Law, Theory and Practice in Financial Markets. Prior to his academic career, he was a partner in the Securities and Capital Markets practice at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP in Cleveland, Ohio.

• Education: Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University (1969), Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law (1972), and Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University Ahuja College of Business.

His research and contributions focus on securities and financial market regulation, with his work cited in scholarly publications and by state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the author of Blue Sky Regulation (2nd Ed.), a seminal treatise on state securities laws, and a principal contributor to other Matthew Bender securities law publications. His teaching spans core legal frameworks governing business entities and advanced financial market regulations.
