Robert Lee

Dr. Robert Lee is a Research Fellow at Curtin University's School of Molecular and Life Sciences (MLS), within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He is affiliated with the External Collaborative Research Centre for Crop Disease Management (CCDM). His primary research focuses on fungal pathogens affecting legume crops, particularly Ascochyta blight pathogens in lentils, chickpeas, and field peas. Lee specializes in genomic approaches to understand pathogen virulence mechanisms, host-pathogen interactions, and disease resistance strategies.

His work integrates molecular biology, genomics, and field-based screening to identify genetic markers for disease resistance and characterize pathogen effector proteins.
