Robert L. Judd is a Professor and Boshell Professor in the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his BA in Biology (1986) from Hendrix College and PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology (1990) from Northeast Louisiana University. After postdoctoral research at Mayo Clinic (1990-1993), he joined Auburn in 1998. His work focuses on type 2 diabetes, adipose tissue biology, and the anti-inflammatory effects of HCA2 receptor.
Research Trends: Recent publications (2017-2021) highlight his lab’s exploration of adipokines, microfluidic technologies, and GPR109A agonists in metabolic disorders. Key collaborations include studies with NIH, PhRMA, and American Diabetes Association.
