Robert Eaglestone is a Professor in the Department of English at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is affiliated with the Holocaust Research Institute, 20th and 21st Century literature and theory group, and the Centre for Continental Philosophy. His expertise spans Holocaust studies, literary theory, and European philosophy. Eaglestone holds a PhD from the University of Wales (1996), an MA from Southampton University (1991), and a BA from Manchester University (1990).
Research interests include contemporary fiction, ethics in criticism, and interdisciplinary approaches to memory and cultural memory. He has contributed to over 100 research outputs, with recent works analyzing Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels through ethical and philosophical lenses.
