Dr Richard Ashby is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at King’s College London’s Department of English, within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. His research focuses on Shakespeare’s afterlives in post-Holocaust culture, early modern drama, and continental philosophy. He holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, and has taught at multiple institutions. Current projects include investigating Shakespeare’s relationship with Holocaust writing and editing a collection titled Shakespeare and Holocaust Culture.

Awards include the British Academy Fellowship and HEA Fellowship. He actively engages in public scholarship through lectures, interviews with artists like Howard Barker, and co-organizing major academic events.
