John Kerrigan is Professor of English 2000 at the University of Cambridge, a position he held from 2001 to 2023, and is a Fellow of St John's College. A leading scholar in Shakespeare and early modern literature, he has been a faculty member since 1982 and was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 2013.
