Adam Hansen is a Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, where he has been teaching since 2007. He previously taught at York, Oxford, and Queen's Belfast, and held teaching roles in Poland and Macedonia.

His research focuses on Shakespearean literature, early modern drama, and the intersection of literature with social justice and cultural history. He explores themes such as revenge tragedy, disgust in Renaissance texts, and the pedagogical applications of Shakespeare.
Recent publications highlight his engagement with Shakespeare's works, including analyses of Macbeth and The Changeling, as well as critical perspectives on Marlowe and the role of social justice in Renaissance literature.
Scientific Awards:
- Fellow (FHEA) of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
He is affiliated with the Shakespeare Club and maintains an office in Lipman 411 at Northumbria University.
